You are invited to come witness the union of Paul and Deborah on Sunday, June 4 at 1 pm.
After many years of living together we are now making our commitment official and would like all our family, friends, and neighbors to bear witness to our abiding love and devotion. We are having a very simple ceremony. Our neighbors have offered to play some beautiful acoustic music for the occasion while others will bring a yummy dish to share. If you play an instrument, please feel free to bring it. Our niece and Cantor Lily Blum may sing and play for us as well. Music is truly the language of God.
We will be honored to have you and are looking forward to Reverend and BBQ chef Alan Pick performing this sacred ceremony.
Sunday, June 4th at the Art Garden
404 Linnie Canal, Venice CA 90291
The dress is casual-casual -- just above pajamas and slippers. Actually PJs would be just fine. Children are welcome!
No gifts! --- Your presence, help with the event, and potluck contribution are the only gifts we desire.
Initial setup will be Saturday starting at noon - Join in if you can.
Sunday - Gates open at 11 am for final setup - please check in with Reverend Alan what task you would like to take on -- greeting guests, setting up dishes, drinks, making coffee, arranging the potluck, putting out picnic blankets / pillows (on the soon to be installed astroturf), cleaning up / setting up tables and chairs, and decorating the stage and tables.
1pm - the ceremony will start. It will be short and sweet. 🍰 Don't be late!
1:30 pm - champagne toast followed by a BBQ / potluck, ice cream cake and coffee.☕️
3pm(?) - anyone who wishes can help clean up / wash dishes in true Art Garden tradition.
Please, No dogs and No Parking at the venue. You will need to park on 28th Ave, somewhere east of Ocean Ave, or in the Venice Boulevard median parking lot, and then walk the few blocks into the Canals. Carpool or using Lyft will make less stress. Bike if you can. The Art Garden is cattycorner from our house on Dell and Court C. (Enter though alley Court C.)
For those of you not in the canals, keep in mind that the canals have become infested with tourists. Don't be surprised if Dell Ave is jammed, or parking is hard to find. Come early and plan on walking.
The Art Garden is a Host-less space where everyone practices "radical self-reliance"! Everyone pitches in however they can, when they can -- please visit vcart.garden/hostless.
There is no RSVP, but if you have questions, you can contact Rev Alan Pick at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 310.823.8262 (no texts).
